Ch. Cherokee Legend Donna was born on October
eighth.
She strutted into my life at eight weeks old; I had a feeling that
day she was special, and that day was also my birthday, so it was
my lucky day. Little did I know fate had just stepped in,
and the rest is history.
Being so special I wanted a really wonderful name for her, so I
named her after my dear friend, Donna Mouser. This was a
breeding I had long awaited for; her sire Ch. Little Ponds
Chief, and Ch. Cherokee Legend Flower, her dam. Both are Beckett
Award winners and BCA Hall Of Fame Producers. And produce
they did with this little firecracker !!!
Piedmont NC Bulldog Club Specialty, 10-30-99, was her first show.
At 12 months old she captured a Five Pt. Major and Best Of Opposite
Sex under respected, world renowned, British Breeder Judge Mr.
Earl Kenyon. The light in her eyes turned on and away she
went, finishing with 3 Five Pt. Majors, just like her Grand dam,
Ch. Cherokee Mardel Sage.
On the way to the top of her mountain, she has captured 46 Best In
Specialty Shows, 3 Awards Of Merit from BCA Nationals, a
Best Of Breed at Westminster, the Pedigree Award for 2001, and defeated 2,099 bulldogs to become the number #1 Bulldog in 2001. She reached the top by capturing BOS at the National Speciality Show in 2004, putting her in the gallery of winners.
